It was known to the Roman legions; during the Middle Ages it was visited by missionaries, and toward the end of the nineteenth century it become a cosmopolitan resort for famous people such as the Austro-Hungarian emperor Franz Joseph (1830-1916). Nowadays the Laško Spa prides itself on quality medical services. The thermal spring, with temparature of 32 - 35 deg.C, has a natural healing effect which relieves pain and makes motion easier. ACCOMMODATION: A specially arranged section of the hotel with 85 beds provides a professional 24-hour rehabilitation service to our guests. It is intended for post-operative and convalescent rehabilitation for those who are experiencing difficulty with movement as well as those who depend partly or wholly on the help of others.

All rooms are furnished with special beds, whilst toilets and showers are specifically adapted for people with impaired movement. The dining room is also specially equipped with all necessary features and fittings, and attendance is on hand during meal times. Special diets, regular rounds by doctors, helping patients learn how to take care of themselves - it all contributes to recovery and the satisfaction of our guests' need for safety and well-being.
