Islamic Art
The gallery depicts the collection of His Majesty the Sultan and the Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam. The collection comprises a wide range of objects covering the artistic production of the various Islamic regions from the transitional and early Islamic periods to the late 19th century. The objects cover all aspects of religious and daily life. The gallery officiated by His Majesty the Sultan and the Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with His Majesty's 44th birthday on 15th July 1990.
Oil and Gas
The state's major industry is presented in this gallery, covering descriptive narratives on the origin and formation of oil, the process of drilling, refining, its uses in the market, the history of petroleum industry in the country and a map showing current oil fields. Meant for interactive, parts of the exhibits are in the form of models with electric gadgets.
Natural History
It features a wide range of natural history subjects, particularly the fauna of Brunei Darussalam, in an exciting and entertaining style. Some of the exhibits are presented in the form of diorama techniques to create a realistic atmosphere of their natural habitat. This gallery is temporary closed due to renovation.
Brunei Traditional Culture
The Brunei Darussalam's material culture is presented in this gallery. These objects depict the customs and culture of the people, from the time of birth till marriage. There is also a fine collection of Brunei brass wares especially cannon, for which Brunei Darussalam has been traditionally renowned.
Brunei Darrusalam Archaeology and History
This gallery exhibits the history of Brunei Darussalam starting from the prehistoric period up to independence in 1984. Displays provide information on historical events using the chronological order of the Sultanate's rulers as a framework.
