Le Meridien La Cocoteraie is close to the little village of St François in Guadeloupe amd is ideally situated between the excellent 18 hole golf designed by Robert Trent Jones and a marvellous turquoise blue lagoon. Sports rule at this modern resort hotel on a sprawling property featuring a lovely beach and Robert Trent Jones golf course. Though all rooms have a seaview, they're a bit plain - but then, you won't spend much time indoors with such an organized activities program, offering not only tennis, gym, a grand pool with a buzzing social scene, and extensive watersports but also the chance to pilot your own seaplane. There's a gourmet restaurant (though some say it's overrated) and a nearby casino.

ACCOMMODATION: All rooms at this property are suites and each suite has one bathroom and one shower room. Bathrobes and toiletries are provided in each suite. All suites contain two "gigogne" beds in the sitting room, which will accommodate one adult or two children aged 2 to 12 years. A suite can host three adults or two adults and two children. A child above 12 years old is considered as an adult. You can book three adults in any suite.

Individual Suites - with terraces and offering either beach, pool or garden views.

Poolside Suites - located around a wonderful swimming pool.

Beach (sea view) Suites - approximately six metres' walk from the beach.

RESTAURANT & BAR: La Varangue - serving international and local cuisine, La Varangue restaurant, with its tropical ambience, is the perfect place to linger over breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dress code - jacket and tie are not required, no Bermuda shorts for dinner. Seats 80.
