ACCOMMODATION: The Coral Sands Hotel and Resort on Harbour Island, Bahamas has been in operation since 1968. Recent renovations and new construction have only enhanced the warm, friendly atmosphere the hotel is known for. Our friendly staff, many of whom have been with the hotel for over a decade, will always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. Recent renovations to the hotel, from the colonial style furnishings to the ever-ready cup of tea at the beach bar, create a relaxed, homey feel. Rooms in the Lucaya building are especially family-friendly with flexible floor plans and full kitchens.

The 2001 Frommer's guide to the Bahamas says "this is one of the finest restaurants in the Bahamas". Signature Dishes include White Conch Chowder and Lobster served with an Asiago Cheese and Sauvignon Blanc white sauce. Among the featured desserts is a Belgian Chocolate Torte.

BEACH BAR. Harbour Islands only ocean front bar and restaurant. For a more casual dining experience, the Coral Sands Hotel's Commander's Beach Bar serves beverages, appetizers, lunch and dinner. It is the Island's only ocean front restaurant and is a popular Happy Hour destination where guests and locals mingle in casual, friendly atmosphere.

RECREATION: At Coral Sands, all of the pleasures of the tropics are just steps from your door.

Play in the surf or below it. Take a refreshing dip in the new, fresh water pool or just sit in one of our ocean side hammocks and read a good book. If you need a bit more action the islands magnificent Coral Reef is a few hundred feet from shore and we offer free snorkeling gear to all of our guests as well as sailboats and kayaks.
