Located on the sheltered coast, the "Grand Hôtel des Mascareignes", completely renovated in 2003, overlooks Boucan Canot, the island’s most beautiful beach. The seaside resort of Saint Gilles Les Bains, at walking distance, provides a series of water sports.

This is 30 mn drive from St Denis, the capital city and 35 mn from the airport. It is the ideal starting point for tours towards the Maido, the moutain ranges of Mafate, Cilaos and Salazie, the Piton des Neiges, the Piton de La Fournaise.
